Obama Brackets Reveal Battleground State Teams

Former President Barack Obama has unveiled his bracket for this year’s NCAA men’s and women's basketball tournaments. He picked Michigan State and the University of Connecticut, respectively, to win. “Just because I have more time to watch games doesn’t mean my picks will be better, but here are my brackets this year,” Obama tweeted, along with images of his selections in the men’s and women’s tournaments. Obama has Michigan State defeating Virginia in the title game in the men’s bracket. He also picked North Carolina and Villanova to make the Final Four. What do all four schools have in common? They’re all located in battleground states. This is Obama’s third straight year picking North Carolina to make the Final Four. He correctly predicted the Tar Heels would win the championship last year. In the women’s tournament, Obama selected the University of Connecticut, a perennial powerhouse, to defeat Mississippi State in the championship game. His other Final Four selections on the women’s side include Notre Dame and Louisville. More here.
