AARP Brings on New Leader


AARP has hired Al Campos to lead their National Retired Teacher’s Association, AARP's Educator Community. Campos joins AARP from the National Education Association's Government Affairs team. For more than 14 years, the political science State University of New York/Western New England College School of Law graduate worked to advance the organization's federal legislative and regulatory policy issues related to taxation, pensions, retirement security, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and healthcare. He also was NEA's liaison to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and a trustee of the NEA Employees' Retirement Plan. Campos officially assumes his new position on Monday, September 25th and will be working out of AARP's national office in DC. Congrats, Al! More here.
