Dems Name Their Jobs for America Teams, and They're Diverse

Yesterday, the House Democratic Caucus unveiled their Jobs For America Task Forces and who would help lead each one. Each of the five task forces includes two co-chairs of color, meaning that just over half of the leadership is POC. The Rebuilding America Task Force’s co-chairs include Jimmy Gómez (CA) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ); Jobs With Dignity Task Force’s co-chairs include Brenda Lawrence (MI) and Raúl Ruíz (CA); the Access to Jobs Task Force’s co-chairs include Ami Bera (CA), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), and Marc Veasey (TX); the New Economy Task Force’s co-chairs include Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL) and Darren Soto (FL); the Reinvesting in Our Returning Heroes Task Force’s co-chairs include Rubén Gallego (AZ) and Donald McEachin (VA). These task forces are intended to bring together members in a collaborative setting to share ideas, engage with the American people, discuss policy initiatives, and hear from experts in order to create a jobs-focused legislative agenda that will boost American families and strengthen the economy. More here.
